Amid global concerns over AI safety, US President Donald Trump is set to meet tech CEOs at the White House on Tuesday on the fast-advancing technology. According to a White House official, the meeting will focus on finding a balance ​between innovation and oversight.

Trump has repeatedly downplayed concerns over the misuse of AI harming people.

Meta's Mark Zuckerberg, ⁠Anthropic's Dario Amodei, OpenAI's Greg Brockman are among those who will attend Tuesday's meeting. Other possible attendees include SpacexAI executive Elon Musk and Google ​CEO Sundar Pichai.

The meeting comes as leading AI companies are calling for slowing down development of AI systems. Heads of several AI firms have warned of the risks to humanity and urged governments to work together to regulate ​the increasingly powerful technology.
