In a social media post, Mr Modi highlighted that the five railway projects worth over 10 thousand crore rupees will foster better rail connectivity in South India and also benefit lakhs of people. The Prime Minister also said that the Cabinet decision pertaining to three multitracking projects worth over 10 thousand 500 crore will add additional railway network and improve connectivity across Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal. He added that it will also encourage tourism, especially heritage and wildlife related tourism and lower logistics costs.

Published by: Greatfuture Info August 31, 2026   More than one thousand three hundred district-level panch sammelans have been successfully organized across the country to facilitate the effective implementation of the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) VB-G RAM G Act, 2025. The Ministry of Rural Development said that through these Panch Sammelans, participation of more than 5.26 lakh Panchayati Raj representatives, functionaries, and officials has been ensured. It said that this achievement reflects the active participation, commitment and strong ownership demonstrated by States and Union Territories towards the effective implementation of the VB-G RAM G Act. The Ministry said that so far, 23 States and Union Territories have completed their scheduled Panch Sammelans. These include Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Mizoram among others.

The intervention is being undertaken through a  hybrid model of transportation comprising railway rakes and road transport , with supplies being directed to major consumption centres based on prevailing market conditions and price trends. Adequate Onion Availability and Robust Production Onion availability is comfortable to meet domestic demand in the coming months, supported by estimated production of  307.37 LMT in 2025-26 , broadly in line with the previous year's production of  307.67 LMT .
