13 PMGSY-IV projects to boost rural connectivity in Udhampur.
Published by: Greatfuture Info JAMMU, August 28, Rural road connectivity in Udhampur district is set to receive a major boost with 13 road projects worth Rs 110.80 crore sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-IV (PMGSY-IV), Batch-I of 2026-27. Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, while informing about the sanctioned projects, said the initiative is aimed at improving connectivity to remote and far-flung areas and strengthening last-mile road infrastructure across the district. He said the projects reflect the priority being accorded to rural development and connectivity under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The sanctioned projects cover Ramnagar/Chanunta Dalsar, Jaganoo, Chenani and Udhampur blocks, with a total estimated cost of Rs 11,080.49 lakh, equivalent to Rs 110.80 crore.
